Stretch of I-30 in Bowie County to be resurfaced
A section of Interstate 30 in Bowie County will receive a new riding surface this spring according to plans approved in December by the Texas Department of Transportation.
Engineers for the TxDOT in Texarkana say a 14.7 mile section of the highway from Farm-to-Market Road 560 in Hooks to the Arkansas State Line in Texarkana will be resurfaced.
A construction company out of Hot Springs, Arkansa was awarded the contract, engineers said with a bid of $4.2 million.
Work on the project should begin in February and be completed by August 2012.
