No fireworks in parts of Cass County | Environment

Overnight rains didn't help the dry conditions in Cass County. The Commissioner's Court has banned the use and sale of fireworks in the unincorporated areas of the county until further notice.

The court said there were several areas within the county that have dry vegetation are considered a fire hazard.

Anyone caught selling for shooting off fireworks will be committing a Class C Misdemeanor, which has a fine up to $500.
