TISD honors two distinguished alumni | Arts & Culture

The Texas Independent School District has announced that Ethel Pauley Jones and Vicki Schultz have been selected as its 2012 Distinguished Alumni.

Jones is a member of the Dunbar High School Class of 1956. Schultz is a member of Texas High School Class of 1974.

The women were honored during two events on December 14.

The first event was a Student Leadership Breakfast at Texas High School. The breakfast offered students the opportunity to hear from the honorees to learn first-hand how the example that one sets for others and for yourself begins at an early age and builds a strong foundation for personal and professional growth.

Later, at a Distinguished Alumni Luncheon at the Texarkana Country Club, the women were presented their official award from TISD. Friends, family and community guests attended.
